Castorseed prices fell by Rs 25.50 to Rs 3,680 per quintal in futures trading today on emergence of selling, backed by weak demand in the spot market.
Market analysts said fall in industrial demand along with increased supply in physical markets at higher levels, pulled down the futures prices of castorseed.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, castorseed price for delivery in February fell by Rs 25.50, or 0.69 per cent, to Rs 3,680 per quintal, with an open interest of 9,280 lots.
For delivery in January futures prices also drifted by Rs 19.50, or 0.50 per cent, to Rs 3,882 per quintal, with an open interest of 3,450 lots.
