Speaking on 'A strategy for increasing domestic consumption of coffee' at the Karnataka Planters' Association (KPA) coffee conference here on Tuesday, Anil Kumar Bhandari, member, said since NDDB has a huge network of its federated milk co-operatives, this can be utilised to penetrate non-coffee drinking regions in the country.
The board's plan is to sell coffee concentrate in sealed packets, delivered along with the milk everyday. All that needs to be done is to simply add the boiled milk to the concentrate and drink.
Once the distribution system in place, the concentrate can come from the entity assigned for each area for roasting, grinding and brewing, he added.
