Copra, dry dates rise on fresh buying

Copra and dry dates prices rose Rs 100 per quintal each in the national capital today on fresh buying by retailers and stockists for the festive season. Tight supplies from growing regions also supported the upside in prices.

Copra and dry dates prices rose by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 5,700-5,800 and Rs 3,200-8,600 per quintal, respectively.

Marketmen said increased buying by retailers and stockists for the ongoing festival season against tight supply pushed up copra and dry dates prices in the wholesale dry fruit market here.
