At 1325 hours, a combined 48.33 million shares representing nearly 6% of total equity of Edelweiss Financial Services have changed hands on the counter on BSE and NSE.
At 12:14 hours, around 15.10 million shares changed hands at Rs 57 per share. At 12:25 another 4.2 million shares changed hands at a price of Rs 58.25, the BSE data shows. However, the identity of the buyers and sellers could not be ascertained yet.
The stock opened at Rs 54.85 and hit a low of Rs 53.45 in early morning deals on the BSE.
