| "Maximum stock limit is at 3,000 quintal per month and no body can keep a stock beyond this limit in a month except exempted firms," Nanda said. |

| Nanda added,"The notification will come into effect at the end of January which also coincides with the arrival of new wheat crop in the market." |

| He said those procuring wheat have to declare their stocks to the department and if wheat stock was found higher than the declared stock, it will seized by the department. |

| District supply officers and collectors have given power to implement the notification, he said. |
| |
| Gujarat State Civil Supplies Corporation and Public Distribution System is exempted from the restrictions, he informed. |
