IDFC gains over 3%, launches QIP issue

The company plans to raise Rs 2,000 crore from share sale to institutional investors fixed the floor price at Rs 143.70 per share.

IDFC is trading higher by 3.4% at Rs 149 in early morning deals on National Stock Exchange (NSE) after infrastructure financing firm opened its qualified institutional placement (QIP) issue for subscription on Wednesday.

The company plans to raise Rs 2,000 crore from share sale to institutional investors. The floor price has been fixed at Rs 143.70 apiece, IDFC said in a regulatory filing.

The issue opens on September 10, it added.

The stock opened at Rs 147 and touched a high of Rs 150 on NSE. A combined 3.2 million shares changed hands on the counter in early morning deals on NSE and BSE.
