Mentha oil down 1.14% on profit-bookings

Mentha oil futures for February moved down by Rs 16, or 1.14%, to Rs 1,388.80 per kg in 750 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the March contract lost Rs 10.20, or 0.78%, to Rs 1,299 per kg in 178 lots.

Prices fell as speculators booked profits at existing higher levels, driven by subdued spot demand from industries.

Increased arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh also influenced mentha oil prices.
