Nickel futures for April shed 70 paise, or 0.08%, to Rs 833.20 per kg in 375 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the May contract went down marginally by 10 paise, or 0.01%, to Rs 841.40 per kg in 204 lots.

Nickel traded a shade lower as speculators reduced their positions amid subdued domestic demand.
