Pepper futures for April declined by Rs 415, or 1.20%, to Rs 34,300 per quintal in 1,303 lots.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), the March contracts lost Rs 295, or 0.81% to Rs 35,970 per quintal in 1,066 lots.

Prices went down as speculators trimmed positions amid higher supplies from the new season crop and sluggish exports.

Besides, sluggish exports also had negative impact.
