Pepper, jeera fall on subdued demand

Black pepper and jeera prices fell up to Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today owing to weak local and export demand at existing higher prices.
Black pepper prices fell by Rs 200 to settle at Rs 22,100-22,200 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also traded lower at Rs 13,200-13,400 and Rs 14,400-14,700 per quintal, respectively.
Market analysts said reduced offtake by stockists and exporters at existing higher levels mainly pulled down the pepper and jeera prices at the wholesale kirana market here.
