Pepper, jeera up on stockists buying

Black pepper and jeera prices rose Rs 100 per quintal each in the national capital today on increased buying by stockists as well as exporters. Black pepper prices rose by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 20,600 -20,700 per quintal. 

Jeera common and jeera best quality also traded higher at Rs 13,700-13,900 and Rs 14,900-15,400, against the previous closing of Rs 13,600-13,800 and Rs 14,800-15,300 per quintal, respectively.

Traders said sentiment turned better following rising domestic and exports demand and a firming trend at futures market here, pushing up pepper and jeera prices.
