The Sensex has slipped back into the negative zone and is now down 13 points at 8,995.
Reliance Communications has tumbled over 10% to Rs 194. Maruti and Satyam have plunged nearly 6% each to Rs 517 and Rs 282, respectively.
Tata Motors, Ranbaxy and Hindustan Unilever have dropped around 4.5% each to Rs 148, Rs 183 and Rs 209, respectively.
ITC has shed 3.5% at Rs 150. Grasim is down nearly 3% at Rs 1,000.
DLF and Grasim are down 1.5% each at Rs 215 and Rs 1,014, respectively.
Hindalco and Mahindra & Mahindra have rallied nearly 4% each to Rs 47 and Rs 290, respectively.
Infosys has surged 3.7% to Rs 1,327. HDFC and Bharti Airtel have advanced 3.3% each to Rs 1,600 and Rs 630, respectively.
TCS and Jaiprakash Associates are up nearly 3% each at Rs 556 and Rs 61, respectively.
