The Sensex is now down 317 points at 9,803.
Tata Steel has slumped 10.7% to Rs 193. Tata Motors have plunged almost 10% to Rs 163. Sterlite has shed 8.7% at Rs 245.
Hindalco has dropped 7.8% to Rs 57. Bharti Airtel has tumbled 7.5% to Rs 634.
Reliance and Tata Power have slipped 5.5% each to Rs 1,199 and Rs 704, respectively.
Grasim, SBI and Reliance Infrastructure have dropped around 4.5% each to Rs 1,001, Rs 1,218 and Rs 498, respectively.
HDFC and ICICI Bank have declined over 3.5% each to Rs 1,685 and Rs 436, respectively.

Ranbaxy and Hindustan Unilever have moved up around 1.5% each to Rs 212 and Rs 242, respectively. TCS is up 1% at Rs 511.
