Sensex down 86pts; ICICI, HDFC Bank weak

The Sensex opened 24 points lower at 8,583, and is now down 80 points at 8,527.

ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank has plunged 2.5% each to Rs 296 and Rs 824, respectively.

Sterlite and Tata Power have tumbled 2% each to Rs 237 and Rs 698, respectively.

Reliance Infrastructure and Reliance Communications have dropped nearly 2% each to Rs 438 and Rs 143, respectively.

Infosys and HDFC have slipped over 1.5% each to Rs 1,199 and Rs 1,217, respectively.

Tata Motors has rallied 2% to Rs 148.

Grasim has moved up 1.4% to Rs 1,342, and Ranbaxy has advanced over 1% to Rs 162.
