Sensex pares gains, up 61pts; breadth +ve

The Sensex has once again pared gains and is now up 61 points at 15,134.

The NSE Nifty is up 14 points at 4,532.

Sterlite has soared over 5% to Rs 619. Tata Motors has rallied 4% to Rs 443.

HDFC, HDFC Bank and Mahindra & Mahindra have gained 3.3% each at Rs 2,475, Rs 1,258 and Rs 580, respectively.

NTPC, ONGC and Grasim have moved up around 2.5% each to Rs 185, Rs 1,041 and Rs 2,088, respectively.

Reliance Infrastructure and Satyam have advanced around 2% each to Rs 1,031 and Rs 415, respectively.

Maruti and DLF are up 1.6% each at Rs 664 and Rs 553, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has shed 2.7% at Rs 847. Ranbaxy has slipped 1.5% to Rs 505.

Hindustan Unilever, BHEL and Tata Power are down over 1% each at Rs 242, Rs 1,805 and Rs 1,049, respectively.

Out of 2,702 stocks traded so far, 1,526 have advanced, 1,093 have declined and 83 are unchanged.
