Sensex up 132pts; HDFC moves up 4%

The Sensex is now up 132 points at 15,206.

The NSE Nifty is up 37 points at 4,555.

Sterlite has soared nearly 5% to Rs 616, and Tata Motors has surged 4.3% to Rs 445.

HDFC has moved up 3.7% to Rs 2,485, and Mahindra & Mahindra has gained 3.3% at Rs 581.

HDFC Bank and NTPC have rallied 3% each to Rs 1,254 and Rs 186, respectively.

Maruti, DLF and Satyam have advanced over 2% each to Rs 667, Rs 556 and Rs 416, respectively.

Reliance Infrastructure, ONGC and Jaiprakash Associates have gained around 2% each at Rs 1,031, Rs 1,035 and Rs 189, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has slipped 2.5% to Rs 848. BHEL and Hindustan Unilever have declined 1.3% each to Rs 1,804 and Rs 243, respectively.

Out of 2,638 stocks traded so far, 1,509 have advanced, 1,062 have declined and 67 are unchanged.
