The NSE Nifty is down 58 points at 4,290.
Jaiprakash (JP) Associates has plunged over 6% to Rs 157. Larsen & Toubro has slumped 4% to Rs 2,459.
Hindalco, BHEL and ACC have shed 3.5% each at Rs 155, Rs 1,355 and Rs 604, respectively.
Ranbaxy has tumbled 3% to Rs 527. Reliance, Reliance Infrastructure, DLF and Tata Steel have slipped 2.5% each to Rs 2,043, Rs 939, Rs 445 and Rs 759, respectively.
