Sensex up 48pts; breadth marginally +ve
The Sensex is now up 48 points at 15,122.
The NSE Nifty is up six points at 4,524.
Sterlite has soared 4.8% to Rs 616. Tata Motors has rallied 3.7% to Rs 442.
HDFC and HDFC Bank have surged nearly 3% each to Rs 2,465 and Rs 1,253, respectively.
Mahindra & Mahindra has gained 2.7% at Rs 577. Maruti has advanced 2% to Rs 666, and NTPC has added 1.7% to Rs 183.
Bharti Airtel has dropped 2.5% to Rs 849.

Ranbaxy, Hindustan Unilever, Reliance Communicaitons and BHEL have declined nearly 2% each to Rs 503, Rs 241, Rs 438 and Rs 1,795, respectively.
Out of 2,733 stocks traded so far, 1,349 have advanced, 1,299 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
