Sugar remains flat in thin trade
The wholesale sugar market remained steady today as prices moved in a tight range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels.
Market analysts said adequate stocks position against sporadic buying mainly kept sugar prices unaltered.
Following were today's quotation in Rs per quintal.
Sugar ready M-30 2,900-3,000 and S-30 2,870-2,990.
Mill delivery M-30 2,700-2,890 and S-30 2,675-2,865.
Sugar mill gate prices (excluding duty): Kinonni 2,860, Asmoli 2,850, Mawana 2,800, Titabi 2,810, Thanabhavan 2,700, Budhana 2700 and Dorala 2,800.
