Unlike the previous Emmy Awards, this year 67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards has drawn the smallest ever audience by making a record of 11.9 million viewers.

The ceremony, hosted by comedian Andy Samberg, failed to attract the audience this year and was down nearly 4 million compared to last year, the BBC reports.

According to sources, this year's show has attained the lowest audience ratings, as the previous lows include 12.3 million in both 1990 and in 2008.

The last year's awards ceremony was viewed by 15.6 million audiences.
