Extremely upset with the Congress' action against her husband Ajit Jogi and son Amit Jogi, the former Chhattisgarh chief minister's wife Renu Jogi on Thursday dubbed it to be a conspiracy and demanded a thorough investigation.
"It is unfortunate that it is happening in the Congress Party. It took place when the party was progressing," she said.
She also accused the Congress' Chhattisgarh unit of 'one-sided proceedings' and requested the intervention of party president Sonia Gandhi in the matter.
When asked if she would change the party, she said, "I am associated with the Congress from the last 30 years. We will continue with the same party. The party has given us a lot."
The Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) on Wednesday expelled Marwahi MLA Amit Jogi for six years, and passed a resolution seeking similar action against his father Ajit Jogi.
