This year's Grammy Awards will be hosted by none-other-than Alicia Keys.
The 15-time Grammy winner took to her YouTube channel to reveal the news. She captioned the video as, "I'm soooo EXCITED to announce that I'll be hosting the 61st Annual Grammy Awards !! There's so much in store and I CAN'T WAIT for y'all to see it ALL come to life."
In the nine-minute-clip, the 37-year-old can be seen telling her family, friends and staff about the gig.
She then says, "I know what it feels like to be on that stage and I know what it feels like to be proud of the work that you've put in and to be recognised for it. And I just feel grateful that I'm able to bring that light and that energy."
"This is a first. It's a first and it's amazing and I think it's perfect timing. Honestly, I'm really excited. I feel really good about it because I feel like it's the perfect opportunity for me to give the light back and lift people up, especially all the young women that are nominated. Like, to me, it feels like sister vibes," she added.
This year, while Kendrick Lamar leads the nominations with eight nods, Drake follows with seven. Producer Boi-1da and Americana singer Brandi Carlile are just behind them with six each. Cardi B, Lady Gaga, Childish Gambino, Maren Morris, R&B newcomer H.E.R., and producer Sounwave all notched five nominations.
The 61st annual Grammy Awards will take place on February 10 at Los Angeles' Staples Center.
