The trailer of the upcoming movie adaptation of the popular relic-robbing video, 'Tomb Raider,' is here and Alicia Vikander is looking impressively tough as Lara Croft.
Warner Bros Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures have released the official trailer of the reboot.
The explosive video features Vikander as adventurer extraordinaire Lara Croft as she seeks answers to the mystery of her dead father.
The original 'Tomb Raider' movies were released in 2001 and 2003, which starred Angelina Jolie as the protagonist Lara Croft.
However, in the reboot, the Danish girl will reign over Jolie to take over the titled character.
In this new version, Lara Croft is the fiercely independent daughter of an eccentric adventurer who vanished years earlier. Hoping to solve the mystery of her father's disappearance, Croft embarks on a perilous journey to his last-known destination - a fabled tomb on a mythical island that might be somewhere off the coast of Japan. The stakes couldn't be higher as Lara must rely on her sharp mind, blind faith and stubborn spirit to venture into the unknown.
'Tomb Raider' is directed by Norwegian filmmaker Roar Uthaug.
The film also stars Dominic West (The Wire) as Lara's father, Walton Goggins (Sons of Anarchy) as the villain, and Daniel Wu (Warcraft) as a ship captain who works with Lara on her adventure.
It is all set to hit the theatres on March 16, 2018.
