The alleged junkie, who was arrested on heroin-possession charges in the investigation into Philip Seymour Hoffman's death has revealed he wants to go into rehab.
Robert Vineberg has asked a US magistrate for the case to go to a drug court and his court filing claims that he's a longtime heroin addict, News.com.au reported.
The 57-year-old, who had earlier pleaded not guilty to possessing 300 packets of heroin with the intent to sell it, can have his charges lowered or dismissed if his petition is approved.
Vineberg was arrested as police followed leads after Hoffman was found dead from an apparent heroin overdose.
