BJP president Amit Shah is currently presiding over a meeting of the core group of the Uttarkhand unit of the party in the national capital.
The meeting is being attended by the party's state chief Ajay Bhatta, the party's in charge for Uttarakhand, Shyam Jaju, Anil Bulauni, Member of Parliament Satpal Maharaj, Rajyalakshmi, Ajay Tamta, former Uttarkhand chief ministers Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank and Major General (Retired) B.N.Khanduri, besides other party representatives and ex-state ministers such as Ram Lal, Trivendra Singh Rawat, Prakash Pant and Shiv Prakash.
The main objective of the deliberations is to highlight the drawbacks of the incumbent Congress Government in the state, which is headed by Chief Minister Harish Rawat.
The nearly two-hour-long meeting is also expected to focus on strategies to be adopted for the forthcoming state assembly elections.
