Army chief meets UN Secretary General, receives praise for Indian peacekeepers' commitment, discipline

Chief of Army staff General Dalbir Singh and India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations met United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon.

During their meeting on Monday, the secretary general appreciated the strong support of India to UN peacekeeping efforts.

Ban Ki Moon said he admired the commitment, discipline and quality of Indian peacekeepers. Among all UN troop contributors, India is ranked second with 7695 troops.
