In Jammu and Kashmir, an Army Jawan was today killed in an encounter with militants in Kupwara district near the Line of Control.
Media reports quoted official sources saying that the Jawan was killed when a group of heavily armed militants started firing at Indian troops at Gazaldari, area close to line of control at Sadhna Pass.
Security forces also retaliated triggering an encounter which ended when the firing from the militants' side stopped .
Reinforcement was rushed to the area from nearby camps and search operation was going on in the area to ascertain if any of the infiltrator is still trapped in the dense forest area close to the LoC.
