Army readies for shift at senior positions as four senior officers retired

The India Army readies for shift as four of its senior officials retired on Friday.

The Deputy Chief of Army Staff (DCOAS) Lt. Gen Subrata Saha superannuated, Director General (DG) Rashtriya Rifles Lt. Gen G.S. Chandel , DG Movement and Transport and Lt. Gen R.K. Sharma donned the Olive Greens uniform for the last time.

Lt. Gen S.K .Patyal took over as the new DCOAS and the rest of the posts are yet to be finalised.

Lt. Gen. Patyal was earlier the Commander-in-Chief of the Leh based 14 Corps before taking over as the DG Military Intelligence (MI).

The post of the DGMI will be vacant till the time new incumbent is decided.
