India's premier off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has climbed three places to return to the top five in the latest ICC's rankings for Test bowlers.
The 29-year-old bowler's ascendency in the rankings was helped by his stellar performance against South Africa in the opening Test in Mohali, where he claimed eight wickets overall.
India's left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja has rocketed 10 places to a career-high 21st position following match figures of eight for 76 that also earned him the player of the Mohali Test award.
Meanwhile, South Africa pace spearhead Dale Steyn continues as the number-one ranked bowler in the Test rankings.
