The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday said that the sacking of Delhi Cabinet Minister Asim Ahmed Khan by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal exposed the true face of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
"Some minister is facing corruption charges, some with fake degree, some with assault charges. This is AAP's real face," BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi said while commenting on Asim Ahmed Khan's sacking.
Kejriwal today dropped Asim Ahmed Khan from his Cabinet on charges of corruption. Kejriwal said that Khan's sacking would send a strong message of intolerance for such acts.
The ruling AAP Government in Delhi has referred Ahmed's case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Ballimaran MLA Imran Hussain will replace Asim Ahmed Khan, who held the Food and Civil Supply portfolio, in the Delhi Cabinet.
According to reports, Ahmed had asked for Rs. six lakhs from a builder.
