Time magazine has released a photograph of President Barack Obama before he went to his senior prom in 1979.
The images that were published on Thursday, shows Obama, then 17, with his date and another couple before their senior prom in Hawaii.
In the images, Obama sports a white suit jacket while his date Megan Hughes wore a light blue gown.
Also seen in the picture is his classmate Kelli Allman, who offered the images, and her date Greg Orme.
"You are extremely sweet and foxy, I don't know why Greg would want to spend any time with me at all!" Politico quoted Obama as writing in Allman's yearbook in a note that is also included in the TIME piece.
"You really deserve better than clowns like us; you even laugh at my jokes!" he wrote.
