Upcoming Bollywood film 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' is a "fun" and as well as "serious" take on the issue of electricity crisis in the country, according to actor Shahid Kapoor.
Speaking to ANI, Shahid said that the film deals with the issue of common man's fight against the issue of "privatisation of electricity" which has "caused the bills to go very high".
He added that the drama in the film comes about when the three main characters, played by Shahid, Shraddha and Divyendu Kapoor grow up to the challenge to fight for electricity.
The actor further said that the despite putting up a fight against the wrong things in the society, it is still "difficult to fight against the system and to be heard".
The flick directed by Shree Narayan Singh is slated to release on September 21.
