England all-rounder Ben Stokes has insisted that his side will not be frightened by the much-vaunted bowling attack of Australia when they square off against each other in the Ashes, which starts on July 8 at Cardiff.
The 24-year-old said that although Australia have got some quick bowlers, there is nothing to fear, adding that the visitors are 'just normal blokes', the BBC reported.
Stokes further said that he is ready to face whatever the visitors throw at him, insisting that he wouldn't take a backwards step in the face of any intimidation.
Australian pace spearhead Mitchell Johnson was involved in a physical confrontation with Stokes as the pair bumped shoulders while running down the wicket, which led to a charge from the International Cricket Council during the 2013 Adelaide Ashes Test.
England will seek to avenge the 5-0 Ashes whitewash incurred against their traditional rivals in the 2013-14 series.
