Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Satish Upadhyay said today that allegations made by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas are baseless and aimed at stirring up controversy.

AAP leader Kumar Vishwas had claimed that a newly-elected BJP MP had asked him to join the BJP saying that Vishwas was "CM material".

Dismissing the AAP leader's claims, BJP leader Satish Upadhyay said, "It seems that Kejriwal has written a new script for Kumar Vishwas. First ask him who is that BJP leader, when and where did he make this offer?"

"Making false baseless allegations and stirring up controversy is something which Arvind Kejriwal has been doing and since Kejriwal is his leader Kumar Viswas is also doing the same," he added.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Nalin Kohli has also expressed similar views by saying, "Kumar Vishwas has leveled some ridiculous allegations that the BJP has approached him to make him Delhi's Chief Minister and this only confirms that there is a mad rush within the AAP for the Chief Minister's post," said Kohli.

Satish Upadhyay also added that even in the past, AAP has accused BJP leaders of corruption charges without any substantial proof.

"If you are making an allegation then there should be sufficient amount of proof to back it up. Needless slandering is not going to work in the politics of Delhi anymore," he added.
