A leader of Congress party, B.K. Hariprasad, attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday and said members of BJP were trying to trigger tensions between communities.

Slamming statement of BJP leader Giriraj Singh, who had said that people who oppose BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi have no place in India and should go to Pakistan , Hariprasad said real faces of BJP's leaders were being revealed now.

"If someone has to go to Pakistan then it should be all those who are a part of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Only then there will be peace and harmony in the country and after Togadia's comment, Bharatiya Janata Party has tried to trigger tensions between communities through such remarks and now people are getting to know their real faces," Hariprasad said in Raipur.

Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) chief, Praveen Togadia reportedly had stated that Muslims should be stopped from buying property in Hindu-dominated areas. He, however, has denied making any such remark and called it a conspiracy against him. The Election Commission has sought a tape of his speech.

Further, Hariprasad also ridiculed Modi over his development model in Gujarat.

"A lot has been talked about Gujarat's development model and it is not going to end. Till today nothing has been elaborated on Gujarat's model like what kind of model it is. They keep attacking the Congress party by spreading lies and say nothing about Gujarat's development model," he said.
