Brad Pitt has been kicked out of jury service because apparently his presence is "too distracting."

According to the reports, the Hollywood hunk, who turned 51 on 18th Dec, had arrived at a Los Angeles courtroom last week after receiving his summons, along with other potential jurors, but was dismissed after an attorney, William R. Lively, claimed that Pitt's opinion could influence the other jurors, the Mirror reported.

Lively said that the 'Fury' would have received a jury summons just like any other person as the process was random, and hence had not disclosed the actor's "celebrity status" e added that in most cases when it's discovered that a potential juror was a major celebrity, that person is dismissed, but that was not always the case.

Lively said that it was just impossible to believe that Angelina Jolie's hubby's presence in a jury box wouldn't take the attention of the remaining 11 jurors off the case, or be influenced by his opinions.

Meanwhile, a source said that Pitt was hoping to be picked to serve on a short case, but the problem was, he would actually be required to serve for as long as it took for the case to be decided.
