Broad reveals he refused Lehmann's apology for 'public enemy' comments

England bowler Stuart Broad has revealed that he refused Australian coach Darren Lehmann's apology for his controversial comments that the player would be public enemy No.1 in Australia this summer during the return Ashes.

According to News.com.au, indeed, the lanky paceman appears to be relishing in his status Down Under, baiting Australians on Twitter and personally responding to the worst of the insults that are flung his way.

Lehmann made a verbal target out of Broad in England, labelling him a cheat and calling on Australian fans to send the 27-year-old home crying, the report said.

Broad said Lehmann came to him and said that he had meant it in jest, adding that he then said that it did not look like jest to him.

The bowler is set to be public enemy No.1 in Australia this summer, earning the ire of Aussie fans during the recent Ashes series for his part in several controversial incidents, the most notable of which was his refusal to walk after clearly nicking a ball to first slip during the first Test at Trent Bridge, the report added.
