Researchers monitoring Jericho, brother of the lion Cecil who was killed in Zimbabwe by an American hunter, have contradicted reports of his death and claimed that he is alive.
Tabloid media revealed that field researcher Brent Stapelkamp has claimed that Jericho looks alive as per his knowledge, reported News24.com.
A group called the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force had posted the news of the animal's death on their Facebook page on August 1, which generated furious reactions on the social networking sites where animal lovers had been expressing their fury over the killing of their beloved lion Cecil.
