UK, France urge EU nations to address root cause of Calais migrant crisis

The United Kingdom and France have called upon European Union nations to assist in addressing the root caus of the migrant crisis in Calais.

According to the BBC, British Home Secretary Theresa May and her French counterpart Bernard Cazeneuve said that it was a "global migration crisis".

The appeal by the UK and France comes following bolstered security measures agreed between the two nations.

May and Cazeneuve also said that the issue was a priority at both international and European levels.
