McLaren ace Jenson Button has said that he believes his former teammate and Mercedes racer Lewis Hamilton will be 'stronger than ever' in the Canadian Grand Prix on June 8.
The Monaco Grand Prix changed the dynamic between Hamilton and his teammate Nico Rosberg, who won the final race, with the British driver convinced that Rosberg is guilty of deliberately locking up to deny Hamilton his final flying lap in qualifying on Saturday.
According to The Guardian, Hamilton, who finished second to Rosberg and lost his world championship lead in the process, appeared to let events get to him over the weekend although Button is convinced his old McLaren teammate will be all the stronger in Canada following his bitter disappointment in Monaco.
Button spoke from experience that whenever Hamilton used to have a tussle with him or whenever he used to have an issue with the team during his McLaren tenure, he would be quite outspoken and emotional and would destroy his co-driver in the next race.
Stating that Hamilton will not be affected by any 'mind-games', Button also said that although he would initially be hurt, he would arrive at the next race quietly and then 'blitz it out', adding that he would probably be 'untouchable' in Canada, especially as he likes the circuit.
Hamilton won in Montreal in 2007 - his maiden F1 victory - and again in 2010 and 2012, the report added.
