Michael Douglas has revealed that spouse Catherine Zeta-Jones, who checked into rehab for maintenance for bipolar II disorder in April, is doing great now.
The 'Basic Instinct' star opened up about the struggles that his wife went through and told the Daily express that she's much better now and well on the way to recovery.
Douglas also explained the reason behind the actress' return to a healthcare facility after she first sought medical treatment in April 2011 for the mental health condition.
The 68-year-old actor, who himself was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2010, said that sometimes one doesn't think that they need any meds at all and then completely forget about them.
He asserted that once that happens, the real trouble begins, but his wife is fine now and has got it under control.
He said that he couldn't wait to see her and said that bipolar was like a slippery slope.
