A special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in Panchkula on Saturday adjourned the hearing in the murder case of former Dera manager Ranjit Singh till October 25.
The Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh is named as an accused in the case.
Besides Ram Rahim, Krishna Lal, Jasbeer Singh, Sabdil Singh and Indrasen are also named as conspirator in the murder.
The former Dera manager was allegedly shot dead in 2002 for having a suspected hand in circulation of the anonymous letter published in 'Poora Sach'.
The Dera chief is currently lodged in Sonaria jail in Rohtak, serving 20 years imprisonment, after he was convicted in rape cases in August.
In the earlier hearing, the Dera chief appeared in the court via video conferencing.
Earlier, the court had turned down the plea, filed by Ram Rahim's former driver, seeking to record a fresh statement in Ranjit's murder case.
