Former Australian opener Chris Rogers has said that it will be 'unforgivable' for West Indies if they come up with another dull performance in the second Test of the three-match series between the two sides.

The 38-year-old insisted Windies to display a bit more desire and hustle than they had shown in the opening Test, News.com.au reported.

West Indies continued to display shoddy fielding in the first Test as veteran batsman Marlon Samuels looked disinterested in the field, yawning and walking around with his hands in his pockets.

He further called on the Caribbean side to play more as a team rather than individuals, insisting them to play at the top of the game in the upcoming matches.

West Indies suffered a humiliating innings and 212-run defeat in the opening Test in Hobart, which triggered widespread criticism from former greats on the current plight of the islanders' stand in the international cricket.

West Indies are currently trailing 0-1 in a three-match series against Australia and the two sides will next lock horns in the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne.
