Chromebook shipments hit two-million mark in 2013, according to a research.

ABI research reported that nearly 89 percent of total shipments reached North America last year.

ABI analyst Stephanie Van Vactor said that the budget-driven device is a disruptive force to the portable PC market.

CNET reported the price of Chromebook has attracted the education markets and its sales are expected to hit 11 million mark in 2019.

Last month Hewlett Packard CEO Meg Whitman said at a technology conference said that Chromebooks are not just education, but it is small business.
