Clarke not concerned over Proteas' pace attack

After being demolished by South Africa's pace attack in the second Test, Australia captain Michael Clarke backed team by saying that he was not 'concerned' as they had performed well in the first Test.

The Australian team was bowled out for just 47 two and a half years ago at Newlands by the same pacers who sliced the team apart in the second Test as Australia lost 10-90 to be all out for 216 leveling the series to 1-1.

According to news.com.au, Clarke said that he was excited with the situation as the last time Australia was here he had wished there to be a third Test match being 1-1.

Clarke also mentioned that Cape Town was a really good place to play cricket and it would be a great challenge to sit at the number one team again.

Clarke is hopeful of Shane Watson to make a full recovery and said that if the all-rounder is fit and healthy then it would be a real positive sign for the team, the report added.

Australia may be drawing straws to see who makes way for Watson, as Alex Doolan scored two single figures and Shaun Marsh completed a pair, giving him six ducks in his last 11 innings.

Clarke reportedly praised South Africa's pacing-trio and said that Dale Steyn deserved a lot of credit as the bowler bowled consistently at 140 to 145 ks.

Steyn's devastating spell had Clarke caught at first slip for one, trapped Steve Smith leg before wicket first ball and comprehensively bowled Brad Haddin for 1 to finish with 4-55.
