Australian captain Michael Clarke has said that fast bowler Ryan Harris deserves his international success and to be the leading bowler in Ashes at the age of almost 34 is a testament to his courage and character.
According to news.com.au, Clarke revealed that Ryan could have retired midway during his career as he battled a serious injury.
Clarke said that he was confident Harris would also do well in the last Test that begins at The Oval on Wednesday and that the continuity had given the bowler increasing confidence in his body.
The captain also said that the bowler was an excellent person to have around, who cherished every opportunity to wear the baggy green.
Clarke also had nice words to say about Chris Rogers, who himself had undergone years of toil in the domestic circuit to finally get a call for the national team.
