The Congress Party on Saturday condemned Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Poonamben Madam's indecent gesture to shower money on the crowd during the 'Ahir' festival in Gujarat and said that it reflected the 'character' of the representatives of the ruling party.
"It was extremely disgusting and this action reflects the character of the BJP's representatives," senior Congress leader Rita Bahuguna Joshi told ANI.
"When farmers are committing suicide in our poor nation, the ministers are throwing money. They misuse their black money. We told you that this is a party of corporates and they work only for corporate houses," she added.
Poonamben Madam, who is the MP from Jamnagar, had yesterday showered money at the crowd during the 'Ahir' community religious festival in Gujarat.
