Congress leader Chaudhary Birendra Singh likely to join BJP: Sources

What could be a major setback for the Congress in Haryana, Chaudhary Birendra Singh of the Congress is likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by August 18, according to sources.

This follows after Haryana Power Minister Ajay Singh Yadav had recently resigned from the Hooda cabinet.

Dissidence has been growing against Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda since the Lok Sabha polls in which Congress could secure only one of ten seats.
