Congress leader Rashid Alvi on Wednesday urged the government to approach the United Nations and expose Pakistan after its former President Pervez Musharraf admitted to Islamabad's involvement in terrorist activities.

"This is not the first time that Musharraf is saying such things. The entire world knows that those spreading terror in India are given protection by Pakistan and also help them. Hafiz Saeed and Dawood Ibrahim cannot live there without the help of Pakistan Government," Alvi told ANI.

"Musharraf is a former president, what he has said is important. India must approach the UN regarding this and expose Pakistan," he added.

In an interview to a leading Pakistani news channel, Musharraf had said that it was Pakistan who had trained Taliban, Osama Bin Laden, Haqqani Network and Hafiz Saeed.

According to reports, Musharraf described Bin Laden as a hero and praised the militants fighting in Kashmir.
