The counting of votes for the Bihar Legislative Council elections began at 8 am on Friday.
District Magistrate (DM) of Patna Abhay Kumar Singh said that counting is being carried out in a transparent manner.
"The stipulated time for counting was 8 am, and we opened the strong room on time in presence of candidates and their representatives. The counting process has begun.The counting is a lengthy process and it is done in rounds. We will carry out counting in a transparent manner," he said.
The election for 24 seats of Bihar Legislative council were held on Tuesday with an estimated 94 percent voting recorded during the polls.
